Fate brought them together… Will the truth tear them apart?

Danger is heading Annie’s way. The faceless man haunting her dreams is a portent. Is it her devious stepfather who wants to enslave her, or the tall, dark stranger who sweeps into her life, unleashing an erotic inferno that sears them both? Lust, fear and desire make a volatile combination as she tries to fight one man’s dangerous seductive charm, while keeping a step ahead of another.

Etienne is an immortal marked for death, but destiny has other plans when he stumbles across a gypsy who reads his Tarot cards. Instead, she awakens his heart—a fate he thought impossible. He is all that stands between her and a hell on earth. She is his last chance at love. Until she discovers his true identity.

Christmas Showdown
Burstyn Blue series, Book 1

Publisher: Mackenzie McKade

Tags: Erotic Romance, Contemporary, Seasonal / Holiday

“Their eyes met across a crowded room…” That’s basically how it happened when Kelly first laid eyes on Trey. They had a glorious night, she gave him her number, and then nothing. Well, a few months later Kelly discovers she is pregnant and wouldn’t you know it, the man she gave her number to didn’t share his last name. But then again, neither did she. She makes an effort to find him, is blocked by privacy laws, and so she lives her life with her precious reminder.

Trey never forgot Kelly, but his attempts to locate her are fruitless. Then chance throws her in his path and this time he’s determined to find out what makes her special. He gets more than he bargained for when he finds out she was left with a permanent reminder of their night of passion. And while initially angry at his loss he quickly realizes no one is at fault and that now is the time to go for what he wants. Not just his son but the woman who he is beginning to recognize as his one and only. Now how does he convince her?

If two people were ever meant to be together it was Kelly and Trey. Life just kept throwing up roadblocks and now that the path is clear they have additional obstacles such as suspicious family members and personal reservations. I loved Trey’s family, including his father. He kind of crossed the line but it was a beautiful illustration of how a family pulls together. While Trey and Kelly’s initial exposure was limited they both felt the stirrings of something more, and while having a child clouded things it soon became clear that what they had was real and this was their chance to have a lifetime together. Can’t wait for more stories about the Burstyn family.

I Love Weekends

April 21, 2012

I’ve been out of work for over two years now, but the weekends still seem special to me. I have no idea what it is, but there is always an excitement in me when they approach. It’s funny, but I feel more carefree than I do during the weekend. Yet this weekend is rather busy, less calming than I would prefer.

Friday started out with a bang. I have a dog who is approximately sixteen. She is so precious to me. A couple of months ago a lump started to grow near her eye. I’ve been scared to death to take her to the vet. Well, our other dog decided that he would clean her up and irritated the area, so I broke down and took her to the doctor. The good news is the lump is not on her eyelid. The vet doesn’t believe it’s cancer, which is a huge relief to me. I’ve made plans to have the thing removed next Tuesday. In the meantime I have to keep the dogs separated, which is a whole different problem. Hubby and I went down last night to purchase gate/fencing material, so I believe that is what we’ll be doing this weekend.

Also last night hubby and I went with our youngest daughter to pick up her new car, a beautiful IS250 Lexus. She was ear to ear smiles, but I know it bothered her to turn in her one ton truck. At heart, she’s a country girl and loves her truck. But she is also a planner. Diesel at the current rising gas prices is killing her. Hopefully this car will help her get where she wants to be in the near future.

Today we have a neighbor meeting and picnic. This could mean good or bad news. We have a few people within our neighbor you occasionally stir up trouble. I’m really praying this is just a meet and greet opportunity. But needless to say I’m a little uneasy. Not to mention, we are looking at breaking three digits in the weather today. Our street has setup, cooking, and cleanup duty. Doesn’t standing around a hot grill in 100 degree weather sound fun? Yippee!

I also have a book to complete this month. I thought perhaps I’d get a little writing done on Bound By A Secret (Clancy’s story). It’s 8:14 am and the house is nice and quiet. I’ve been up for two hours doing emails, etc., and even done a some writing. When I get blocked I look for things to do–like blogging. So you all are my break away from writing. LOL But now it is time to get back to the grindstone.

Take care everyone and have a fantastic weekend.

Two’s Company, Three’s Downright Wicked…

March 30, 2012

As an author of erotic romances, I’m not at all shy about love scenes. My characters have poured on the steam in bedrooms, back yards, mountain cabins, yachts, swimming pools, Jacuzzis, bathtubs, kitchens, pantries, you name it.

However, it wasn’t until my last release SiNN that I had contemplated doing a ménage.

Although I liked the idea of a threesome, I also found it extremely difficult to wrap my head around the thought of one lady with two guys. Not that I’m a prude. Far from it. My fantasies would fry your brain cells. It’s just that I couldn’t reconcile two guys willing to share one woman. Wouldn’t they get jealous of her attention to one or the other of them? Wouldn’t they want her for their own?

Obviously, I worked out my misgivings in SiNN. With that, I was hooked and so I began my second ménage Sinfully Wicked. OMG, this one’s even hotter than SiNN. On the heat scale, it’s volcanic.

But don’t let that fool you. It’s not just about sex. Far from it. The story is about the enduring bond of one woman and two brothers. Her betrayal of them years before. Their forgiveness.

My brand is heat with heart. I believe Sinfully Wicked proves it.

Sinfully Wicked is available today!!!

Here’s the blurb. Enjoy.

Two brothers—one woman—unforgettable passion…

Years before Nikki fell in love with Mitch and Connor, betraying them as only a high school girl could. Now, she’s back and needs their help.

Powerful and commanding, Mitch has never stopped craving Nikki. Connor hungers for her as badly, but isn’t ready to forgive. If she needs some fast cash by working at their gentlemen’s club, she’ll have to audition by stripping for them.

Aroused by their shameless scrutiny, Nikki’s willing to do whatever it takes to be near them again…even being punished in the BDSM room or starring in one of Connor’s erotic films. Mitch won’t have it, unless he and Connor are the ones mounting and enjoying her.

On a sultry weekend, Nikki surrenders to their lust, dominance and exquisite discipline, reawakening their timeless bond and the beginning of forgiveness.

As a teen, Sydney Boyle’s crush on her foster parents’ son—despite their six-year age difference—brought her nothing but heartache. So she did what any smart girl would do: feigned indifference.

Keeping her distance is pretty tough, now that Sean is the head of the family publishing company. Forced into close contact, denying her long-suppressed attraction is getting harder by the day.

As Sydney grew from a shy, sweet teen to a mind-numbing beauty, Sean could only stand by and watch, his father’s warning ringing in his ears. Hands off.

But now they’re both adults. And it won’t be long before he ends one of their daily, nose-to-nose office arguments by just hauling off and kissing her.

Cue the snow, some close dancing, and a steaming Jacuzzi in a mountain cabin, and things take a turn for the hot and steamy. But giving in to temptation could mean one of them can never go home again…

Product Warnings:  Lesson in How to Make a Man Stand Up and Take Notice: take one tight red sweater, add some sexy two-stepping with a few hot cowboys, rub, twirl, wiggle and…stand back and let the pissing contest begin.

Promotional Items

January 30, 2012

I’m always interested in hearing what readers find great promotional items. Candy and water bottles are disposable; therefore, it would appear these items would not allow an author’s name to linger in the minds of readers. I’ve had bookmarks and buttons in the past. And while buttons are great for the moment could they, too, be considered disposable?

During several of the conferences I attended last year it appeared trading cards were all the rage. People were approaching authors and gathering as many trading cards, as possible. But what do they do with them afterwards? For me, I use them as bookmarks. I also skimmed through them when I got home to see what books I considered purchasing. I’m hoping others are like me, because I’ve contracted for twelve new trading cards. I have to admit I’m really tickled with them.

Take a look…

Can’t you see these beautiful covers on glossy card stock? The backs will have a short blurb of the story, and of course my website and where you can purchase. I’m so please with them, but as a reader what do you find titillating promotional items? Drop me an email and let me know.

Have a wonderful day.

Saying Goodbye…

December 30, 2011

If you’re like me, you can’t believe that 2011 is almost at an end. Where has the year gone?

I always find this time of year a little sad and maybe that’s because it is hard to say goodbye. Whether if it’s saying goodbye to an old friend, an old pair of jeans or shoes, it is always tough to say goodbye. At the same time, it’s an exciting time of year. It almost feels as if the slate has been wiped clean and you get to start anew. Well, until February rolls around and you realize nothing really has changed. LOL Still, I’m optimistic about the new year.

Like many others I have a list of things I’d like to accomplish: more writing, more exercise, less eating, less bills… For The list goes on.

But within me I feel 2012 is a year of hope. I’m hopeful that we’ll see a change in the economy and opportunities afforded us. That our beautiful country will prosper and not flail like it has these past years. That we see less greed and narcissism. That friendships grow and people learn to help each other. And yes! World peace would be nice.

For my family, friends and readers, I hope you all have health, laughter, and love in your lives. That you find what you are looking for. And, that you know what you mean to me.

Happy New Years. Be safe in your travels.
